Careers

The Careers Program at Bellfield College is an important part of the schools educational program. The role of Careers Adviser, Ms. Haidar, is to assist students in making informed realistic professional choices. 

There are 3 phases of the career program:

Phase 1: Personality Test Students undertake a ‘Personality Test’ via their online platform ‘MyCareerMatch’. The service matches student’s personality style to careers they would love. They receive a personalised Career Profile which suggests ‘Top 5’ career choices along with further guidance. Students discover personal strengths and employability skills.

Phase 2: Advice and Information post-school options covering University, TAFE, Private Colleges, Apprenticeships and Traineeships, Paid employment and Gap year options, alternative career pathways, subject choice selection and work experience.

Speakers from universities, TAFE, Industry, Defence Forces, NSW Police Force etc are organised to advise students of varied career options. 

Careers Field trips; students attend seminars, Careers Expos and Industry visits.

A careers resource centre, set up in the library where there is a vast array of career and study publications.

A 2019 calendar provides students with important career events, University information and other relevant information to parents and students, including important forms such as scholarships, SRS, EAS schemes, entry programs and UAC. 

Phase 3: Exploring CareersStudents are given the opportunity to explore through online services, top 5 career interests, independent research tasks about  looking into pathways to enter courses
