Multilit Reading Tutor is a special teaching program that is proven to improve reading accuracy, fluency, comprehension and spelling. This program is managed and maintained by Macquarie University.
Each Multilit session has three main components:
- ‘Phonics’ (or word attack skills): working on student’s accuracy, fluency and spelling.
- Sight words recognition: teaching a bank of high frequency sight words is to enable low-progress readers.
- Supported book reading: listening to students read for a minimum of 10 minutes a session.
