Bellfield College provides various forms of Information Technology that teachers integrate into their classroom as part of their lesson plan when required.
Tablets,
phones and netbooks are not
acceptable devices.
Laptops
and some hybrid 2-in-1 devices are acceptable, but the device must meet minimum
specifications.
A device
repair strategy is required.
Either a
warranty, insurance or backup device, minimising interruption to studies if
something happens.
Bellfield
College IT Staff are available to provide support but cannot perform hardware
repairs.
Software
required for studies
Microsoft
Office 365 is provided free of charge.
Installations
are available once your child/ren commences at the College.
Antivirus
is required for ALL devices. Windows 10 devices can use built in Windows
Defender antivirus or the free version of AVG.
MacOS can also use the free version of AVG. (https://www.avg.com/en-au/homepage#pc) Alternatively any commercial Anti-Virus suite can be used
provided it is keep active and up to date.
The College uses Google
Drive for file storage and recommends students to use this to keep their work
automatically backed up.
The College provides
internet filtering services whilst on campus but not in your home. There are
ways you can set up home filtering.
